Found Thoughts - Story vs. Gameplay

I found this mind map I made for an unreleased project back in 2009.

I don't necessarily think it's accurate (and not sure I ever did) but it contains some interesting thoughts none-the-less!

Huh. I just finished watching some videos that were discussing JRPGs vs. western RPGs, with the main arguements being that JRPGs "want to convey a story" and western RPGs "want to create an expirience." It's just interesting seeing a lot of the same points but in a more structured format.

I think game makers should put more attention to the story than the gameplay. Because the story will make the game more interesting to play.
