Zombie Minesweeper: a Love Story

Check the Zombie Minesweeper Website

Zombie Minesweeper in the App Store

Based on the success we had with the Kongregate version of Zombie Minesweeper, we decided it was worth bringing to iPad. In many ways, it was always designed with touch in mind. In fact, it's a very natural way to play the game.

However, being the ambitious, creative sorts that we are, we weren't satisfied just doing a straight port. So we added a story with dialogue, a map screen, an a whole new scoring system!

Actually, the scoring system was the most interesting part. The biggest challenge on Zombie Minsweeper was reconciling the differences between the Action Players and the Puzzle Players. In original, we accomblished this by breaking the game up into two 'modes'. In this new version, we have a medal-based scoring system, allowing players to focus on whichever aspect of the game feels most rewarding for them, personally!

This game is also notable for being my first for-profit game as an indie. Kind of wish this was the old days so I could take my first dollar and frame it...
